C. Scott Hagler is Minister of Music at St. Michael & All Angels Episcopal Church in Albuquerque, conductor of Coro Santa Fe, and executive director of 3rd Ave. Arts, based in Durango, Colorado. Hagler oversees the Durango Bach Festival, the Durango Chamber Music Festival, St. Mark’s Recital Series, Sacred Arts Festival, Durango Chamber Music Academy and other music and arts-education events, as well as concert series in the Santa Fe/Albuquerque area (Southwest Arts) and in Scottsdale (Arts at Nativity).
Hagler has led the choirs and taught voice at Santa Fe Community College, and taught piano and organ at Fort Lewis College and San Juan College.
A published arranger and composer, Hagler has written for choirs of children and adults, handbells, instrumental ensembles and solo piano. He teaches at choral and handbell clinics, and serves as a choral clinician. He was seen for two summers as pianist and entertainer at the Diamond Circle Melodrama in Durango. In conjunction with the Melodrama, Hagler released Ragtime!, a solo-piano CD of the music of Scott Joplin. Hagler is an active member of the American Guild of Organists and the American Choral Directors Association.
